The Narutaki Garden at Nanzen-ji is known for its symbolic incorporation of the sound of water. The invisible flow of water is expressed through stones and sand, as if resonating in the viewer’s ears. I layered this sense of fluidity with the network of electronic circuits, expressed through Pixel Montage. The continuity of circuits evokes the echo of flowing water, delivering an image of sound born within silence. A fusion of nature and technology, this work allows the viewer to experience the “auditory beauty” of the garden through vision.
