Rokuon-ji Temple (Kinkaku-ji, Golden Pavilion) – Stroll Garden and Kyōko-chi Pond

2024

Concept

The Kyōko-chi Pond of Kinkaku-ji is renowned for reflecting the golden Shariden (Golden Pavilion), representing the pinnacle of Japanese garden beauty. Its water surface constantly changes, yet holds an eternal tranquility. I combined this iconic scenery with the intricate design of electronic circuits, expressing it through Pixel Montage. The resonance of solemn beauty and orderly precision makes this one of the representative works of the ZEN Garden series.
