This piece from the Zen City series highlights a colorful array of intertwined cables and complex components, evoking the inside of a computer or audio system. The sweeping arc of rainbow-colored wires suggests both motion and connectivity, as if signals are being transmitted across a dynamic network. Created through my Pixel Montage technique, the image is composed entirely of botanical photographs—petals, stems, and natural textures transformed into a mechanical composition.
The vivid color palette draws the viewer into a world where the organic and electronic coexist. The cords, seemingly made of plastic insulation, are in fact made of delicate plant forms. The circuit board underneath—normally cold and rigid—is brought to life with warmth and subtle irregularity, challenging the sterile image of machines.
This piece explores the idea of communication—how energy, information, and emotion travel through systems. Just as plants communicate via mycorrhizal networks and chemical signals, this artificial network mirrors a deeper, natural logic. The artwork invites reflection on the hidden threads that connect all forms of life and technology, and the beauty that emerges when these connections are made visible.
