This image from the Zen City series presents a rhythmic grid of circular components, evoking the layout of capacitors on a circuit board or keys on a control panel. These dome-like shapes shimmer with blues, greens, and silvers, suggesting energy, function, and precision. Created using my Pixel Montage technique, the entire composition is formed from natural elements—petals, moss, stems—arranged to replicate technological aesthetics.
The repetition of circles and their embedded glow create a meditative atmosphere, inviting the viewer to pause and contemplate. Though the image appears engineered, its organic roots are subtly revealed through textures and imperfections. The overlay of digital symmetry and natural irregularity raises questions about control and chaos, structure and growth.
This work explores the boundary between biological rhythm and machine order. Just as nature follows cycles and symmetries—like flower formations or seed patterns—technology too is built upon repetition and modularity. By fusing these worlds, the piece challenges the dichotomy between the artificial and the organic, offering a vision of coexistence and harmony.
